Two held with 11,000 pcs Yaba in Sylhet

Police arrested two individuals along with 11, 000 pieces of Yaba tablets in Companiganj upazila on Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Rahmat Ali, 45, son of the late Arza Ali from Parua Lamapara in the upazila and Isak Ali, 45, son of Syed Ali.
Both have allegedly been involved in drug trade in the area for a long time.
Confirming the matter, Companiganj Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) of Ujayer Mahmud Al Adnan said that acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid and nabbed the individuals.
During the raid, including 11,000 Yaba tablets, two kilograms of Ganja and eight rolls of foil paper used for Yaba consumption were recovered.
A case in this regard was filed against the arrested individuals under the Narcotics Control Act in Companiganj Police Station, the OC said.
