Bangladesh, Russia reaffirm commitment to deepen bilateral ties

Bangladesh and Russia have pledged to enhance their bilateral cooperation during a meeting between newly appointed Russian Ambassador Alexander Grigoryevich KHOZIN and Foreign Secretary Md. Jashim Uddin.

The meeting took place on Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to an official press release.

During the courtesy call, Ambassador Khozin discussed various aspects of the Bangladesh-Russia relationship and highlighted areas of ongoing cooperation. He also explored the potential for mutual support in elections to United Nations bodies and other international organizations.

Foreign Secretary Jashim Uddin assured the Ambassador that Bangladesh would continue its engagement with Russia in multilateral platforms, in line with national interests and established diplomatic practices.

Both parties expressed satisfaction with the current state of relations between the two nations and noted their alignment on many global issues.
