Death toll rises to over 2,700 in Myanmar earthquake

The death toll from Friday’s powerful earthquake in Myanmar has climbed to 2,719, with 4,521 people injured and 441 still missing, according to State Administration Council Chairman Min Aung Hlaing.
Speaking at a cash donation ceremony for quake victims in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday, he provided the latest figures, as reported by local media. Rescue efforts continue as authorities assess the full scale of the disaster.
