Ex-MP Barrister Suman’s bail denied in three cases

A court in Dhaka rejected bail plea of former Habiganj-4 lawmaker Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman in three cases filed over murder and attempted to murder that took place during the recent mass uprising.
Judge Shihabul Islam of Dhaka 8th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court passed the order on Wednesday after holding hearing on the pleas filed for the former lawmaker.
Of the three cases, one was filed over attempt to murder a restaurant chef Hridoy Miah at Mirpur-10 in Dhaka on July 19 and another case was filed with the Mirpur Police Station over attempt to murder of one Adam Bin Amin on the same day in the same area.
Besides, a case was filed against Barrister Suman with Khilgaon Police Station over the murder of Mizanur Rahman on July 19. His father Md Kamal Hossain filed the case on September 2.
On October 21, police arrested Suman from the Mirpur-6 in Dhaka and showed him arrested in the cases.
