College student killed in Habiganj road accident

A college student was killed in a road accident at Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj district on Monday noon.
The accident took place in the afternoon at Futarmati area on the Nabiganj-Aushkandi road in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Pritom Sarkar, 18, son of Bhubon Sarkar of Shangkarpur village under the upazila.
Locals and eye witnesses said a speedy truck hit Pritom’s motorbike from the opposite direction while he was returning home from Nabiganj Upazila Headquarter. He was critically injured and immediately taken to Nabiganj Upazila Health Complex where the on duty doctor declared him dead.
Nabiganj Police Station officer-in-charge Md Kamal Hossain confirmed the incident and said the body of the victim was recovered and sent to Habiganj General Hospital for autopsy. Legal actions will be taken in this regard.
