9 ex-ministers among 13 produced before ICT

Awami League government’s nine former ministers, two advisers, a retired Appellate Division justice and a former Home secretary were produced before the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Monday morning in a case filed for crimes against humanity on charge of genocide during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
These 13 are the first, out of arrested 46, to produce before the ICT for crimes against humanity.
Those who were produced at the tribunal are Anisul Huq, Faruk Khan, Rashed Khan Menon, Hasanul Haq Inu, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Towfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Dipu Moni, Salman F Rahman, Shajahan Khan, Kamal Ahmed Majumder, Golam Dastagir Gazi, Justice Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, and ex-home secretary Jahangir Alam.
They were brought to the tribunal at 10AM amid tight security. Then they were produced before the three-member International Crimes Tribunal, chaired by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder.
As Dr Abdur Razzaq is on remand, he was not produced before the tribunal.
On October 17, arrest warrants were issued in two separate prayers against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and others in the allegations of genocide and crimes against humanity during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The tribunal also directed to produce the accused by November 18.
