Khaleda Zia released

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia was freed on Tuesday (August 6) afternoon.
In a press release of Bangabhaban, it was said Khaleda Zia has been freed following a meeting of president Md Shahabuddin with chiefs of three armed forces, leaders of different political parties, representatives of civil society and leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Students’ Movement.
Khaleda Zia had been in jail since February 8, 2018, after being convicted in two graft cases during the Awami League regime.
