Bulbul elected as chairman in Kamalganj

In the third phase of the Sixth Upazila Parishad Election, Imtiaz Ahmed Bulbul, younger brother of Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdus Shahid, has been elected as the chairman of Kamalganj Upazila Parishad in Maulvizar by getting 46,640 votes with motorcycle symbol.
His nearest rival candidate, the running chairman Professor Rafiqur Rahman got 30,712 votes with pineapple symbol.
MA Wahab won the post of vice-chairman by securing 39,079 votes. His nearest rival candidate Niranjan Dev got 14,961 votes.
Bilkis Begum won the post of female vice-chairman by securing 41,649 votes. Her nearest rival candidate Munna Roy got 35,918 votes.
