3 die in Canada road crash: Kumar Biswajit’s son injured severely
Singer Kumar Bishwajit Dey and Naima Sultana’s son Nibir Kumar Dey has been critically injured in an accident in Canada’s Toronto and has been kept at intensive care unit (ICU).
The accident happened around 11:30pm local time on Monday on Highway 427 southbound ramp to Dundas Street West.
It also left three other Bangladeshi students–Shahriar Khan, Angela Shreya Baroi and Aryan Alam Dipto–dead.
According to the family, Nibir Kumar is currently undergoing treatment at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. He has been kept for another 6-18 hours of observation at the ICU.
Hearing the accident news, Kumar Bishwajit’ left Dhaka for Canada.
According to Canadian police source, Nibir was driving the car which was at a very high speed. The vehicle was carrying three more students aged in between 17-21. All of them were the students of Humber College.
The car was heading towards south side of the highway.
Suddenly, Nibir lost control and the vehicle hit the highway railing. It, later, turned turtle on the road and caught fire.
