Inauguration of London Bangla Press Club’s own property

London Bangla Press Club has inaugurated its newly purchased property in the Barking area in London. The price of the purchased property totalled to £200,000.00. With purchasing its own property in London, a dream of this 28-year-old Media organization came true .
The London Bangla Press Club, the first and oldest Bangladeshi journalists’ organization outside Bangladesh, officially inaugurated its purchased property on Tuesday, July 6, 2021.
Club President Mohammad Emdadul Haque Chowdhury inaugurated the ceremony by cutting the official ribbon. He was accompanied by Club Secretary Mohammad Jubayer and Treasurer ASM Masum. Other executive committee members and former leaders were also present at the ceremony.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only the Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers and Vice-Presidents of previous committees were able to be present at the inauguration.
This club will earn at least £15,000 a year from rent through the ground-floor, front garden and parking facilities. The property value will also increase with the time.
The £200,000.00 pound total was spent as the cost of purchase of the property and the post purchase repair and renovation cost. The money was raised by four major fund-raising and other events. The leaders of the club, leading well-wisher business persons and life-members also contributed towards the purchase of the property.
London Bangla Press Club currently has 317 members who are working as journalists and in media across the UK. There are also a significant number of life members in this club.
The purchase was only possible with the cooperation of all the members, friends and well-wishers.
