Man killed in Tajia procession clash in Sylhet

Confirming the incident, Osmaninagar Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) SM Al Mamun said, “The clash broke out following a dispute between Khaliq Mia and Rashid Mia. At one stage, relatives of them got involved in the clash.”“Khaliq Mia was killed and his son Sumon Mia and nephew Anwar Mia injured wounded in the clash,” He said.

The OC added, “The body of the deceased was sent to the AG Osmain Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy while the injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment.”

He also said that police are conducting drives to arrest the accused.
