Singer Mila secures bail

The High Court (HC) has granted an eight-week anticipatory bail to singer Mila in a case filed by her husband.The HC bench of Justice Obaidul Hasan and Justice SM Quddus Zaman passed the order on Monday.

The Court also asked her to surrender to a lower court after eight weeks.

Debashish Bhattacharya, a lawyer of Mila, confirmed the information.Earlier, a case was filed against the singer on charge of acid attack. Her ex-husband SM Parvej Sajsari and Parvej Sajsari’s father SM Nasir Uddin filed the case with Uttara east police station in the city. Mila’s assistant Peter Kim was also made accused in the case.

Tapan Chandra Saha, officer-in-Charge of Uttara east police confirmed the matter.
