Youth found dead in Surma river

Sylhet Office : An unidentified young man was found dead in Surma river in Sylhet town Saturday (June 1).

Locals saw the boy floating in the river in Kalapara area and had informed police.

Police recovered the decomposed body around 1:15am.

The body was sent to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Selim Mia.

The youth might have died three to four days ago. Whether he was killed is being investigated, added the OC.
