MP Mokabbir joins Gano Forum council

Mokobbir Khan, a MP from Sylhet-2 constituency, joined the 5^th National Council of Gano Forum, held at at Mohanagar Natya Mancha in the capital on Friday.

Leaders and activists raised their brow at the presence of Mokabbir, who took his oath as a Member of the Parliament defying party’s decision.

They also expressed their disgust and anger due to Mokabbir’s participation in the council.The council started around 10:00am. After a while, MP Mokabbir attended the council.

Mokabbir took his seat at the theatre of the council, where Gano Forum president Dr Kamal Hossain also took his seat.

On April 2, Gano Forum MP-elect Mokabbir Khan took his oath as a Member of the Parliament defying his party’s decision.

On April 4, Gano Forum said it would take organisational action against Mokabbir for breaching party’s decision.

Though, no action has been taken against him yet.

Mokabbir presence in Gano Forum may widen distrust among the coalition members of Jatiya Oikya Front, which was formed under the initiative of Gano Forum president Kamal Hossain.
