Afzal elected to National Education Union

Ansar Ahmed Ullah : Afzal Sayed Munna, a prominent young business management lecturer from Essex has been elected as an Independent Schools Representative for National Education Union (NEU) for Barking and Dagenham District. Afzal is also an executive member for Liberal Democrats for Newham, Barking & Dagenham and Liberal Democrats Campaign for Race Equality and a potential parliamentary candidate for Dagenham and Rainham in coming general election.

Afzal is an education researcher and currently doing his Doctor of Education at University of Bath. He is very much committed on social inclusion which he wants to take to next level using his community engagement and creative writings on various social inequalities. As a NEU representative he wants to ensure that he can help every colleague in the Barking and Dagenham district who works for impendent schools and also care about the issues facing the profession.
