Fire breaks out at Banani FR Tower

A fire broke out at 18-storey ‘FR Tower’ on Kemal Ataturk Avenue in Dhaka’s Banani area on Thursday.

The fire broke out around 12:45 pm at the fifth floor of the FR Tower, said an official of Fire Service and Civil Defense control room.

Seven firefighting units rushed there and have been trying to extinguish the blaze till filling of this report around 01:40 pm.

According to the control room, several people are trapped in the building.

However, the origin of the fire could not be known immediately.
