Coaching centres to be closed from Apr 1 to May 6 for HSC examinations

The government has ordered that coaching centres must remain closed from April 1 to May 6 during the HSC examinations.

Education Minister Dipu Moni informed the media of the decision during a press conference at the Secretariat on Monday.

All coaching centres must remain closed for the higher secondary school (HSC) and equivalent examinations, she said.

The HSC examinations are to begin on April 1. This year 1,351,505 students will be sitting for the exams.

The government had previously shut coaching centres for a month during the SSC examinations in an effort to curb question paper leaks.
