Habiganj Correspondent : A housewife in Habiganj was allegedly strangulated to death by her husband as a sequel of a family feud at Purbo Hasergaon village in Chunarughat upazila on Thursday night.
The deceased, Sharmin Akhter (22), was the wife of Jashim Uddin of the village.
Quoting family members, AKM Ajmiruzzaman, officer-in-charge of Chunarughat Police Station, said that the couple locked into an altercation at night and at one stage Jashim strangled Sharmin to death.
On information, police recovered the body on Friday morning and sent it to Habiganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, police arrested Jashim for interrogation, the OC added.
