Quader goes through successful bypass surgery
Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader has gone through a successful bypass surgery at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Professor Dr Abu Nasar Rizvi, who is accompanying the ailing minister in Singapore, confirmed the news to media this noon.
Dr Rizvi also said that the minister’s family members sought blessings and wishes from the country’s people for his quick recovery.
Obaidul Quader, also the general secretary of ruling Awami League, was admitted to BSMMU on March 3 following breathing complications.
Tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery.
Later on March 4, he was flown to Singapore for better treatment at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
