Sylhet Office : Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen condemned the shootings at two mosques in New Zealand which left at least 49 people dead on Friday (March 15).
New Zealand is among the countries which claim themselves terrorist-free. Such an incident is saddening, the minister told reporters in response to a question at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Friday (March 15).
Drawing attention to Gulshan Holey Artisan attack, the minister said we didn’t know about the attack beforehand. Terrorist launched the attack in a similar fashion. It’s difficult to imagine possibility of the attack before it happened. Therefore, it could be termed as an accident.
He said, “Bangladesh does not have a consulate office in New Zealand. We’re getting news through various sources. Bangladeshi cricketers are fine there. Law enforcement agencies of New Zealand are giving their level-best security for our cricketers.”
