Sylhet Office : A young man was hacked to death reportedly over previous quarrel centring seniority among friends in front of Madina Market in the city.
The deceased was identified as Sabbir Ahmed, 20, son of Oliur Rahman of the area.
Some unidentified miscreants swooped on Sabbir while he was talking with his friends in Kamarpotti area around 7 pm, leaving him severely injured, said witnesses.
He was immediately rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead, said Omar Faruque, in-charge of the hospital police outpost.
