Baniachang polls clash: Injured cop shifted to Dhaka

Habiganj Correspondent : A constable of Bangladesh Police sustained stab injuries during a factional clash of Awami League at a vote center in Baniachang upazila polls on Sunday (Mar 10).
Critically injured Jamal Uddin has been taken to Dhaka by a helicopter for better treatment, Mohammad Ullah, Superintendent of Habiganj police said.
Jamal Uddin was sent to National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital at Sher-E-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka as his condition is very critical, the SP added.
Two groups of AL factions locked into clash at polling center set up at Shahpur Government Primary School around 11:00am, leaving six people, including a police constable and an Ansar man, injured.
Later, voting here has been suspended, said ASP Shoilen Chakma.
