Schoolboy stabbed to death in Sylhet

Sylhet Office :  A schoolboy was stabbed to death and another one was injured by a rival group over a trifling matter at Housing Estate in Ambarkhana area in the city on Sunday night.

The victim was identified as Sahed Ahmed, 16, son of late Abdul Khaliq, a resident of Chowkidekhi area of the city. He was a student of British Bangladesh International School and College.

In this incident Rahi, 17, son of Sadhin Mia, a resident of Dewri area of the city, received stab also.

Shahadat Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Sylhet Metropolitan Airport Police Station, said the incident took place in front of Ambarkhana Girls High School and College where one Limon and his associates attacked Sahed and Rahi around 8pm as they locked into an altercation over a trivial matter, leaving them injured.

Later, Sahed and Rahi were taken to Osmani Medical College and Hospital where doctor declared Sahed dead.

Police recovered the body and sent it to morgue for autopsy, OC added.
