Bangladesh Centre holds preparation meeting to organise award giving ceremony and fund raising dinner

Bangladesh Centre organised a preparation meeting on 31st March to organise a award giving ceremony to honour those who had worked tirelessly and diligently to acquire and establish this centre and in retaining it. The present committee also decided to give prize to meritorious students who achieved great success in GCSE, A Level and in Diploma.

To organise this ceremony, the committee has decided that Bangladesh Centre will organise a award giving ceremony and fund raising dinner on 27th April at 6.00 pm at Royal Regency Hall of East London. The committee also said that there will be a cultural performance following the event.

The present committee is expecting mainstream political and cultural leaders and activists, businessman and notable community members to take part in the forthcoming event. The event will also see the running of a state-of-art website of the Centre and publishing of a magazine.

The estimated budget for this event is 15,000 pounds. However, the expenses will not be carried out from Bangladesh Centre fund. The expenses will be carried out from personal funds, sponsorships and table money. Bangladesh Centre will charge 300 pounds for a table for ten and 50 pounds per head.

The event was conducted by Secretary General of Bangldesh Centre Mujibur Rahman and written press briefing was read out to journalists by Convenor of the event committee Md Delwar Hossain. Guest who were present at the event included Muhibur Rahman Muhib, Shahnoor Khan, Ashraf

Uddin, Mustafizur Rahman, Dr Halima Begum, Kabir Uddin, Mahbub Khan, Mashuk Miah, Delwar Hossain, Nizam Uddin and others.
