UK Awami League observes 45th anniversary of Awami Juboleague

UK Awami League organised a discussion meeting on 13th November to observe 45th anniversary of Awami Jubo League at a community centre in East London.

President of UK Awami Jubo League Fakhrul Islam Madhu presided over the meeting and General Secretary Selim Ahmed Khan conducted it.

Acting President of UK Awami League Jalal Uddin attended the event as the chief guest and General Secretary Naimuddin Riaj attended as chief speaker.  The special guests at the discussion meeting were Vice-president of UK Awami League Hormuj Ali, Organising Secretary Abdul Ahad Chowdhury, Mayor of Biani Bazar Municipal Corporation Abdus Shukur and Joint Secretary of Biani Bazar Upozila Awami League Mostaq Ahmed.

The speakers said that on 11th November 1972 Sheikh Fazlul Ahmed Moni established Awami Jubo League with the direction of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.  This was to help establish the main principles of independence war of Bangladesh which were secularism, alleviate the unemployment and poverty, extending education to all and to build the self dependent nation.
