Recognition Bangabandhu’s 7th March speech celebrated in London

 

 Ansar Ahmed Ullah : Bangabandhu Writers & Journalist Forum, Greater London branch organised an event on 8 November at a restaurant in East London to celebrate UNESCO’s recent recognition and archiving Bangabandhu’s 7 March speech in its the Memory of the World Register as a ‘documentary heritage’.

Following the celebrations under Bangabandhu Writer & Journalist Forum Greater London President Batirul Haque Shordar’s chairmanship, a discussion meeting was held conducted by General Secretary Shah Mustafizur Rahman Belal.

Guests who spoke were  chief guest, Matiar Chowdhury, vice-president of the UK Committee, vice president Ansar Ahmed Ullah, vice president Nazma Hossain, acting president of the UK Awami Lawyers Council Barrister Enamul Haque, UK Volunteer League president Syed Ahmed Saad, joint convener of Sonartori Rumi Haque, Bangabandhu Young Writers Forum’s Sejuti Mansur, Bangabandhu Writer & Journalist Forum London Vice President Syed Hilal Saif, Vice President Nurun Nabi Ali, member Anhar Miah, Member of London Bangla Press Club Shah Rasel, Awami volunteer League leader Misbah Masum, Dulal Ahmed, Enamul Haque, Saiful Alam Liton, Rabiul Hasan Bhuiyan and many others.

Guests spoke of the great Liberation War, Bangabandhu’s leadership, and how he led the Bengali nation towards its independence. London branch President of the Forum, Batirul Haque Shordar, thanked all those present with a banquet dinner.
