A sexagenarian man was killed as a train hit him at Dhaka-Tongi railway line early Sunday (August 12).
The deceased was clad in white shirt and lungi.
Sub-Inspector (SI) M Saiful of Tongi Railway Police Outpost told that the man died on the spot at south outer signal of Tongi Railway Station at around 06:00am.
Later, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for an autopsy.
The deceased is suspected to have fallen from train’s roof, as the body was found split into four parts.
However, the SI further said that they are trying to identify the deceased.
