Caledon Bangladeshi Parents Association distributes prizes among children

Caledon Bangladeshi Parents Association distributed prizes among children who done well in Bengali, English and Arbi language. The event was held in Aberfeldy street in Poplar at organisation’s own hall.

Former MP of Poplar and Lime House Jim Fitzpatrick was present as the Chief Guest in the meeting.  Mayor of Tower Hamlets John Biggs was also present as the Special Guest at the event.

The event was presided over by Shamsul Haque and conducted by the Secretary of the Association Asabur Rahman.

Other guests who were present at the event included Cllr Rajib Ahmed, Shamsuddin Ahmed, Mahbub Hossain, Shefa Begum, Abdus Salam Chowdhury, Moiur Miah and others.

On his speech, Chief Guest Jim Fitzpatrick MP emphasised on the impotence of these types of events as these can effectively inspire the little children more into achieving. Mayor John Biggs handed over the prizes to the meritorious children.

In the beginning of the event poet Mujibul Haque Moni  and Rubi Haque sang the national anthem of Bangladesh along with the children who were present there.
