Zulhash Uddin elected as Deputy Mayor for Southborough Town Council

Zulhash Uddin has been elected as Deputy Mayor for Southborough Town Council in Kent for the term 2017/18.  He is the first British Bangladeshi Councillor ever to be elected from this council.  He was elected from the Southborough and High Brooms Ward in 2015 from Conservative party.

 

He is from Mohammadpur village of  Doyamir Union of Osmaninogor in  Sylhet. His father’s name is Late Alhaj Surab Ali.  

 

He came to the UK when I was 11 years old after finishing his primary education in Bangladesh. He graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University.  He is working as Biomedical Scientist in a Global pharmaceutical company.  He has been involved with many projects in the UK and Bangladesh supporting communities with education for younger children and installation of Tube Wells for clean water in Bangladesh.
