Atiqul Hoque elected as first British Bangladeshi councillor from Salisbury Council

Prominent businessman and Press and Publicity of British Bangladesh Caterers Association (BBCA) Atiqul Hoque has been elected second time as councillor form St Edmund and Milford ward in Salisbury.  He is the first British Bangladeshi councillor from the borough.

Winners from the ruling conservative party from this borough are Atiqul Hoque (Con) with 682 votes, Amanda Foster (Con) with 545 and Elizabeth Sirman (Con) with 521 who defeated the Liberal Democratic candidates with huge margin.

Cllr Atiqul Hoque is originally from Sriramshi (Dighirpar) village of Jagannathpur Upozilla of Shunamgonj District.
