To take Jagannathpur forward in development an able efficient Harmuz Ali is needed said speakers at a meeting organised by NRB Friends of Jagannathpur held on 9 Oct at Waterlily venue, East London.
The meeting was chaired by UK Awami League’s President Sultan Mahmud Shariff with Chief Guest Abdul Gaffar Choudhury. The meeting was conducted jointly by AL’s Sports Secretary Tarif Ahmed & Jubair Ahmed.
Speakers appealed to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina seeking support for Awami League nomination of Muhammed Harmuz Ali as a Non-Resident Bangladeshi (NRB) candidate for the forthcoming Jagannathpur Upozila Parishad election.
Other guest speakers were Alhj Shamsuddin khan, Secretary Syed Faruk, Brick Lane Mosque’s Chair Sajjad Miah, Bangladesh Welfare Association’s Secretary Nurul Islam, Ch I’s Director Reza Ahmed Faisal Chowdhury Shoeb, Abdul Ali Rouf, Khaleda Mustaq Qureshi, Husnera Matin, Anjumanara Anju, Nazma Hussain, Muslima Shams Bonny amongst many others.
Harmuz Ali’s Election manifesto was read out by Jagannathpur Education Trust’s Secretary Mallick Abdul Wadud Shaku.
The meeting appealed to all to support Muhammed Harmuz Ali’s campaign to transform Jagannathpur into a model Upozila through good governance and progressive development.
