Project launched to reflect lives of Bangladeshis in Westminster

unnamed (5)Central London Youth Development has started a project on ‘hopes and fears’ of Bangladeshi parents when they raised their children in 60’s and 70’s. The name of the project is ‘Faced in Westminster’ which will speak about mainly on parents living in Central London.

The project will focus largely on stories of parents on that time describing benefits, advantages and disadvantages while they raised their children.

A book will be published which will include oral stories spoke by the parents and the recordings will be kept in Westminster Library Archive.

A training session and consultation meeting was held involving local youths on 16th May to find out best possible ways to conclude these recordings.
