Muslims of Salisbury Achieves their separate Burial Ground

On 10th October Marks a Historical day for The Muslim Association of Salisbury where after many years of hard work and plea to Salisbury City Council, they have finally secured their Muslim burial ground on the New Avenue Cemetery. The Muslim Community were overwhelmed when they were shown their allocated site, the logistics aspect and officially handed over by Cemetery Manager Neil Lucas, at presence of Special Guest Salisbury Mayor John Walsh, Leader Jeremy Nettle, Funral Director Ian Newman, along with Mostofa Sen, Solman Farsi, Ali Manik, Shahin Uddin, Ekramul ahoque and other community dignitary also Cllr Hoque who was on the Cemetery’s subcommittee helped with planning and installing the water fountain which plays a crucial part.
Final prayer led by Mosque Imam Ashraful Rahman, Khaled Numan.
The event concluded by, Chairman Rashid Ullah, Secretary Kholil Ullah, Of The Muslim Association expressing their Heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Salisbury City Council for making this Provision this final rest place is not only for Salisbury but for all Muslims around Wiltshire.
