Two killed in Sylhet road accident

Sylhet Office : At two people were killed as a pick-up van fell into a road side ditch at Tetli area on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Daskhin Surma of Sylhet on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Shamir Uddin, 30, owner of pick-up van, son of Anshab Ullah, hailing from Patli union of Jagannathpur upazila and pick-up van driver Mithu Sutradhar, 23, son of Provod Sutrodhar, of Mollar gaon village of the same upazila.
Locals said that the accident took place when a Sylhet Kadamtali-bound pick-up van from Jagannathpur fell into the road side ditch at the area after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving two people dead on the spot.

Later, police rescued the bodies and sent to hospital morgue for autopsies.

Shiplu, sub-inspector (SI) of Daskhin Surma Police Station confirmed the matter.
