Poet Abul Boshor Ansari buried in Sylhet

Mirror Desk : Poet Abul Boshor Ansari, renowned as ‘Bosbor Miah of Bongaon’ has been buried in a cemetery adjacent to Hazrat Nasir Uddin Sipahsalar (Rahmutallah e Alaihi) Mazar at Chowkidight in Sylhet. Anti-British Indian Independence activist and Independence organiser of Bangladesh, Boshor Miah was buried on Saturday Bad Asor local time 4.00pm in the afternoon.

Before the Janaza, a number of notable persons and organisations paid their respect to the deceased.   Sunamganj District Awami League, Muktijodhdha Shangshad, Sunamganj and Bongaon Chatro Parishad and other organisations paid their tribute to the veteran poet and leader.  A huge number of people took part in deceased’s Namaje Janaza which included General Secretary of Sylhet District Awami League Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, General Secretary of Sunamganj District Awami League Barrister Enamul Kabir Emon, General Secretary of UK Awami League Syed Sajidur Rahman Faruq, former Jubo League Presidium member Nazrul Islam, PP of Sunamganj Judge Court Khairul Kabir Rumen, Sylhet City Corporation Councillor Rezwan Ahmed, former President of Jagannathpur Upozila Awami League Nurul Islam, former Chairman of Balaganj Upozila Parishad Mostaqur Rahman Mofur, former Acting Chairman of Jagannathpur Upozila Parishad Muktadir Ahmed Mukta, Chairman of Patli Union Parisahd Sirajul Haque and other notable persons.

Poet Abul Boshor died from cancer on 27th November in a Hospital in Hackney after suffering  a long time from illness. He was 92.  His first Namaje Janaza was held at Brick Lane Jame Mosjid on Thursday Baad Johor local time and second Namaje Janaza was held Baad Esha at East London Jame Mosjid.  His dead body arrived in Sylhet on Satueday morning.

His relatives, friends and well-wishers are requested to pray for the salvation of the departed soul.
