SUST admission process begins on November 11

Araf Ahmad : The first year first semester honors courses under 2018-19 academic sessions at Shahjalal University of Science & Technology (SUST) in Sylhet will begin on November 11 and continue till November 14. Prof Dr. Shamsul Haque Pradhan, President of admission committee confirmed the information on Monday afternoon.

 

Prof Dr. Shamsul Haque Pradhan said the admission will be started at 9.0 am from 1 to 300 and at 2.0 pm 301 to 600 on merit position from group-1under B unit on November 11 at Mini Auditorium in the SUST campus. Next day on November 12 under same group merit position from 601 to 980 and merit position 1 to 30 in group-2 under B unit will be admitted. Quota applicants under B unit will be admitted also same day.

 

On November 13 at 9.0 am merit position from 1 to 220 from science and at 2.0 pm 1 to 83 from business studies under A unit will be admitted. On November 14 merit position from 1 to 301 from humanities under A unit and all quota students from A unit will be admitted, he added.

 

He also said during the admission Students must bring signed admit card, original Mark Sheets and Certificates of S.S.C/Equivalent Exam and H.S.C/Equivalent Exam and required money (about Tk. 9500/-) for admission.

 

Quota applicants must bring the certificate/testimonial from appropriate authority like Ministry of Liberation War Affairs for FFQ, District Commission/Thana Social-Welfare Officer for DIQ/EMQ, Tea-State Manager for TLQ, and Registrar/Head of the Department for WAQ. TLQ applicants must also submit Wage Statement of last 6 months along with their testimonial.

 

Students must also bring two photocopies of all necessary documents (mark sheets, certificates). Students have to submit their original marks sheet of H.S.C/Equivalent Exam during the admission.
