Awami League Presidium Member and Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim today said the next parliament election would be held in December this year.
“The election would be held in coming December where Election Commission would play the role of the ‘referee’ …We want BNP to participate in the election,” he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the newly-constructed at Kamalganj upazila under Moulvibazar district.
Turning to the government’s plan to set up a medical college in each district, Nasim said a medical college would also be established at Moulvibazar.
Upazila Hospital Managing Committee President and Vice-Principal M Abdus Shahid, MP, presided over the programme while M Abdul Matin MP, Moulvibazar District Parishad Chairman Azizur Rahman and Deputy Commissioner Tofael Islam, among others, spoke.
