Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) will hand over the much-awaited 4G mobile network licenses to operators on Monday (February 18).
BTRC Chairman Dr. Shahjahan Mahmud, in presence of the ICT minister Mustafa Jabbar, will hand over the licenses at Dhaka Club on Monday evening.
Telecommunication Division Secretary Shyam Sundor Shiqdar will also be present as chief guest at the program organized by BTRC and Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh.
Operators will launch 4G services gradually soon after having licenses.
Earlier, Grameenphone and Banglalink acquired a total of 15.6Mhz 4G spectrum in the auction held at Dhaka Club on February 13.
