Bangladesh High Commission in London on Saturday conferred the ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ upon 103 brilliant students who have secured 10 A/A* at the GCSE and three A/A* at the ‘A’-level examinations in 2017.
The event took place at Kensington Town Hall in Central London, said a press release.
Outstanding Achievement Award is the flagship event and one of the biggest arrangements of the Bangladesh High Commission in London.
Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for the Commonwealth and the UN at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the UK Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict attended the occasion as the chief guest.
The Lord Howell of Guildford PC, Chair of the International Relations Committee of House of Lords, Paul Scully MP Vice-Chair of All-Party Parliamentary Group on Bangladesh, Jean Lambert MEP, Abdul Gaffar Choudhury, prolific writer, journalist, columnist, political analyst and poet, Life Time Achievement Award Winner of the High Commission were present as special guests.
